Eddie Tigner CD release and Blues party

Atlanta Jazz & Blues legend Eddie Tigner will be performing in Decatur at Club 29 on Saturday, August 4 at 9:00 pm.
This event commemorates Eddie's 2nd album release (entitled, "Slippin' In"), on the Music Maker label. The concert will include a selection of noteworthy Georgia blues artists including Tommy Brown, Sweet Betty, Roy Lee Johnson, Mudcat, the Breeze Kings and Felix & The Cats. A native of Macon GA (b. 1926), Eddie toured with the famed "Ink Spots" from 1959 to 1987. Since then he has become the pride of the Atlanta Jazz and Blues community. Eddie is flying in his studio band "Felix and the Cats" for the occasion. Eddie's first CD, "Route 66" has received glowing reviews since its 2001 release, leading to regular national and international appearances. In 2005 he joined the Music Maker Relief Foundation, a benevolent association dedicated to disenfranchised musicians. Find out more about Eddie's biography at www.musicmaker.org.

The Green Market at Piedmont Park features more than forty vendors offering fresh, local produce, fresh cut flowers, baked goods, specialty food products, natural beauty products and hand-made arts and crafts. The Green Market opens at 9:00 am and runs to -12:00 (noon) and is located at the 12th Street entrance of the Park. The Green Market will run every Saturday from May until October.
