OCTOBER 2006 HIGHLIGHTS

New Venue: Langford Sound Stage in Roswell, GA come check out this great new music venue in Roswell. We will be there on Saturday October 14.

The Atlanta Blues Society hosts the Atlanta Blues Challenge on Sunday October 22 at Langford Sound Stage in Roswell. This fun all day event is part ‘Battle of The Bands’ and part blues festival. 8 acts will compete for the opportunity to go to Memphis and represent Atlanta in the prestigious International Blues Challenge. After winning the Atlanta Challenge and making it to the top 10 finals in Memphis back in 2005, the Breeze Kings are going for it again, this time performing with the legendary Tommy Brown. THE ATLANTA BLUES SOCIETY and The Piedmont Conservancy proudly present Blues at the Green Market of Piedmont Park. The Breeze Kings will perform sets at 9:00a.m. and 11:00a.m. The Green Market presents the best in the state of organic produce. Want fresh homegrown organic produce, grown right here in Georgia? The Green Market at Piedmont Park features more than forty vendors offering fresh, local produce, fresh cut flowers, baked goods, specialty food products, natural beauty products and hand-made arts and crafts. The Green Market opens at 9:00 am and runs to -12:00 (noon) and is located at the 12th Street entrance of the Park.
