After months of research with thousands of customers and employees, Castorama launched Hello Casto, its first DIY voice assistant. This new feature in the Castorama mobile app revolutionizes DIY learning with fully voice-controlled video tutorials. Hello Casto combines artificial intelligence and voice recognition, demonstrating the brand’s commitment to providing innovative ways to help customers with their home improvement projects.

With this in mind, Castorama has provided its customers with a practical and innovative tool that offers unprecedented ease of use: search and control videos using your voice. To develop this service, Castorama partnered with Razorfish, an expert in user experience, technology and value creation.

Integrated into the Castorama Android app, Hello Casto’s voice assistant helps users complete home improvement projects using voice-activated tutorial videos. Once you’re in the app, say the two magic words, “Hey Casto,” and your journey to finding tutorials will begin. You can also use voice recognition to adjust the video’s volume, view or progress through stages, and pause it. There are 53 videos available now covering flooring, wall and bathroom projects. Categories that are in great demand among modern buyers. New content and features will be added to Hello Casto in the coming months.

With Hello Casto, Castorama has 92 stores (more than 11,000 professional consultants, free scenes, etc.), an e-commerce site (more than 750 buying guides, tutorials) or the online magazine 18h39.fr (more than 10,000 step-by-step instructions ). training videos) or on our Youtube channel (over 300 training videos).
